After a great two days earlier the guys continued to grind in Kansas. Eric passed a couple of great upcoming bucks and stayed focused on killing a buck that the boys called "BB" Bad Boy! They had trail cam pics of him from 2010 and sheds but never put their eyes on him. At this time he would score about 145 as a Heavy 8pt at 5 years old. In 2011 they immediatlely began getting pics of BB and man did he blow at 6 years old. He was now a Giant 9 pt with incredible Mass and points everywhere. With Chris tagged out, Eric was prepared to hunt for a week and kill BB or go home empty handed and eat tag soup. The weather turned very cold, with High pressure rushing in and Lows in the teens and highs in the 30's. On the morning of the 5th, the wind was perfect for him to climb up into his favorite stand, The Super Funnel. Just after daybreak, a buck they knew all to well, BB came off of some Bean fields and worked straight up the funnel heading to a thick bedding area. BB came into 68 yards and presented Eric with a perfect broadside shot and the rest as they say, is history. This is Eric's biggest buck to date and he is dedicating it to his father Fred Hale who left us earlier this fall. Eric says that his dad gave him the best gift in life, he took him hunting!!!
