Eric and Chris received an invite to hunt a farm in Mo. during the annual gun season. The two jumped at the chance and climbed into their Millenium tree stands just before day light. Due to hunting pressure the guys decided to hang near a cedar thicket as they felt that their best chance of intercepting a mature buck would be close to thick cover. Sure enough, mid morning a mature 8 point eased into the thicket but offered no shot. Eric quickly grabbed his flextone grunt call and brought the buck out of the security cover and gave him a great 72 yard broad side shot. The buck ran only a short distance and fell over. This is the clans first Traditions muzzle loader and Kahles harvest for the season and they could not be happier. As bow season winds down, keep an eye on the web site as more muzzle loader bucks will begin to drop.
