We just got home from one of the best trips we've ever taken! After hunting Water Buffalo with Leithen Valley Trophy Outfitters in Australia last year we headed to their operation in New Zealand to take on giant Red Stag and Mountain Tahr! Beautiful Lodge! The Gang! After 9 tough days of hunting with my Mathews Passion coming so close so many times I put it aside and whacked a giant with my TC! Oh ya!!  Poor Pat carried a camera climbing mountains after me for all those days until I finally shot one!!The best guide ever, Rach!! She's 6 months pregnant and climbing up those mountains like nothing!!  We gave Pat so much grief but had so much fun!Rach and Olly's son (my buddy) Sam for the week!!After I shot out the very next day Pat made it all count on this monster 400" Stag with his Mathews Z7 Extreme Tactical making it all look so easy! This is the same stag I had with my passion at full draw at 15 yards and Pat called me off because he didn't get good enough video...hmmm I think this was planned! Ha!Darren and Sherri Stags!! Way to go! Sherri took her's with the TC and Darren with his Z7! Woo hoo! After the big stags hit the ground we packed up our gear and headed North 5 hours to Tahr camp...of course acting like tourists and getting a flat tire! The Mountain Tahr are definitely not an easy critter to get! We saw so many big bulls up there but getting to them is another tough deal!  Day 1 our guides Scott and Olly marched us up to the top of the world and Pat made it count by shooting this 11 inch bull @ 150 yards with his TC 270!Day 2 Nicole finished the hunt by popping this 12 1/2 inch Tahr @ 230 yards with one shot! With 4 big animals on the ground and 1 day to be tourists in New Zealand we decided to check something off our Bucketlist's! You guessed it....Sky Diving!! (Pat, Nicole, Olly and Scott)The BIG JUMP, nice face huh?! Thanks to SkyDive Wanaka for the awesome jumps, you guys ROCK!  It was a trip we will never forget! New Zealand is absolutely beautiful and we had so much fun meeting all the new people and sharing camp with some of our best friends! Happy Spring! Stay Driven & Happy Hunting, Pat, Nicole & Driven Team
