After many months of waiting our hunt was finally here...We were headed up to the Yukon looking for a big ol' Bull Moose (aka Bullwinkle).  Upon arriving at the airport we were picked up and headed to Watson Lake! When we got to Watson Lake we met some wonderful people whom we made friends for life, Terry, Ruth and Joel Wilkinson, Jerrie & Bryan, and many others.  Ruth and Jerrie had a warm dinner waiting to go for us! We headed out to the "cabin" where we would be staying for the next 10 days.  It wasn't just a short trip there either...We had about an hour truck ride then loaded all of our gear on the 4-wheelers for a 2 1/2 hour drive then loaded all of our gear onto the boat and we were heading to our "home" for the week!  We arrived at home and unpacked and got ready for the weeks worth of hunts! Little did we all know at this point of time that we would be breaking quite a few "records" that our guide Joel Wilkinson had in place!Filling up our drinking and cooking water jugs! Cold water!!Record #1-Most distance traveled in a day...Some days we would travel close to 80 miles in the boat looking for bulls! We saw lots of moose every day.  Record #2-Spotting the most moose in 1 day, his prior record was 18 his new record, 26 different moose in 1 day.  Day 2 we called in a 50" bull with awesome video and Joel told me that wasn't the bull the Yukon is known for, still to this day Pat keeps telling me I'm crazy because he had such great video! But, after 9 long days of hunting, I shot this awesome bull with my T/C Icon and he didn't go 30 yards and went down! What an animal!!! This big ol' bull was 58" wide had 21 points and scored around 185 B&C!Our guide Joel Wilkinson was the best mouse catching, moose spotting, camp cooking guide Pat and I could ask for! Girls, he's available so get ahold of Pat and I if your interested :)Pat didn't get the chance to moose hunt because he was chasing me around with the camera for 9 days but did get to atleast pick up the T/C and shoot this nice Black bear...only a couple days from going into hibernation, beautiful fur!Picture Perfect views everyday! These are just a few! These are just a few of the bulls they have shot this year! What an impressive sight!!Pat washing off my moose rack in the river! What a beautiful view!Ruth Willkinson and I...ate moose meat pretty well everyday and LOVED IT!!A HUGE THANKS to Ceasar Lake Outfitters, Terry, Joel & Ruth Wilkinson.  Family owned and operated for generations now and it just keeps getting better and better!
