Once again Pat and I get it done on 2 monster mule deer bucks on the Southeastern Plains of Colorado with Atkinson Expeditions!  Jerome, our guide again this year had lots of Cuddeback pictures of some awesome mulies so we were excited to get going.  I was up first and we spotted a big buck with lots of forks that Jerome had nicknamed "Spoons".  We stalked this buck for 3 days until we finally got it done!  We put the tape on him and ended up scoring 190".

We stayed at Craig Ranch Bed and Breakfast with Johnny and Beth Craig which are like family to us.  www.craigranchbandb.com  We couldn't wait to spend the week with them too! Yummy food, she even cracks and grinds her own wheat...best pancakes I've ever had!!

Having yummy dinner with Johnny & Beth (owners of Craig Ranch), Wes & Rachelle Atkinson and our guide Jerome!
The next day it was Pat's turn! Wes had spotted 2 nice bucks hanging out together so we decided to go after them.  We stalked up to them through the thickest patch of sandburrs and we were covered!  The bucks bedded down and we had to sit there and watch them for a half hour before they finally got back up.  Pat made a perfect shot on a beautiful 178" Non typical!

What an awesome hunt! Thanks to everyone for making it once again this year a SLAM DUNK! If your interested in going on a once in lifetime trophy Mule Deer Hunt log on to www.atkinsonexpeditions.com

Happy Hunting,

Nicole
