Orem, UT - Gold Tip Pro Staffers not only won the day - they won the year in competitive ASA events. Tommy Gomez racked up his second ASA Men's Pro division victory of the season at the recent ASA Classic Championship, held in Cullman, AL on August 1-4. Gomez, shooting Gold Tip Ultralight Pro X-cutters, ended his opening rounds with a two-day total of 428 with 16 Pro 12's, which earned him a spot in the final shoot-off. He won the final shoot-off in dramatic fashion with a 14-ring on the final arrow to claim his second ASA win of the year. Pro Division contestants shoot two rounds of twenty targets from unmarked distances that vary in distance up to 50 yards. The five highest scores from the first two rounds qualify for the shoot-off to decide the winner.

The ASA Classic Championship is the final tournament in the points race to decide the ASA "Shooter of the Year" title. Pro 3-D favorite and Gold Tip Shooter, Levi Morgan, earned top honors for the year - his SEVENTH ASA "Shooter of the Year" title in a row. Morgan finished the ASA season with a total score of 2156 with 96 Pro 12's, but right behind was fellow Gold Tip Pro Staffer, and Classic Champ, Tommy Gomez, with a final tally of 2122 and 75 Pro 12's.

The Senior Men's Pro Division continues to be dominated by Gold Tip Pro Staffers, with Colin Boothe taking home the win at the ASA Classic, shooting Gold Tip Ultralight Pro X-cutters. Boothe had a two-day total of 418 with 14 Pro 12's and won the shoot-off with a final score of 484/17.

Adding to the dominating Senior Pro storyline, Gold Tip Senior Pros claimed all three top honors in the "Shooter of the Year" title, with Art Brown taking home the win. Fellow Gold Tip Seniors, Allen Conners and Carl Adkins claimed second and third place respectively.

"To know Gold Tip not only competes, but dominates at this high a level of competitive archery, event after event, is testament to the quality of Gold Tip products. " Said Gold Tip Director of Sales, Mitch McKay. "The hard work and dedication of our Pro Staff has paid off and I'm proud to know Gold Tip has been a part of their success."
