Mathews' White and Landsinger Win NFAA Yankton Titles
The final leg of the NFAA 3 Star Tour was held April 20 - 21 in Yankton, South Dakota. The competitors turn in a score on Saturday and one on Sunday. The scores are added together and the winners are determined. When the winners were announced, Jackie White and Dustin Landsinger won the championship in their respective classes.
Jackie White has been having a great NFAA season so far. White won the Senior Pro class at the Vegas Shoot earlier in the year. This week, White led from start to finish. White had the high score on Saturday and the high score for Sunday to win the championship in the Championship Senior Freestyle class. White finished with a total score of 1179-51 to capture his third total win of the season and his second of the 3 Star Tour. Thomas Crowe finished in third place with a score of 1172-46. Mathews finished with six of the top ten finishers in the class. The rest of the top ten included: Richard Smith, 1170-44, 5th place; Allan Ruddock, 1170-44, 6th place; Tom Coblentz, 1170-36, 7th place and Ed Horn, 1160-54 in 10th place.
In the Championship Freestyle Limited class, Mathews shooter Dustin Landsinger won the championship with a total score of 1105-16.
In the Championship Female Freestyle class, the top Mathews finisher was Holy Larson. Larson had a total score of 1174-44 and finished in second place. Third place went to Christie Colin with a score of 1173-43.
In the Championship Male Freestyle class, the top Mathews finisher was Braden Gellenthien. Gellenthien had a total score of 1196-85 and finished in second place.
