Plano appoints key sales and marketing positions
Plano Molding Co. today announced two key sales and marketing appointments within its Outdoor, Hardware and Outdoor Products divisions.
Jesse Simpkins has been named senior vice president of sales and marketing for Plano's Outdoor and Hardware business units, and Kelly Marble has been named vice president of sales for the company's Outdoor Products division.
"During Jesse's 15-year career at Plano, he has excelled in numerous sales and marketing leadership positions that have led to Plano's increased brand share, sales and overall company growth," said Plano President and CEO Tom Hurt in an announcement to the company. "We are equally pleased to have Kelly Marble join the Plano team in her role as vice president of sales. It was evident in our meetings with Frabill that Kelly's experience and expertise would be a strong asset as we bring these two strong brands under one company."
Plano announced in mid-June that it would acquire Frabill, bringing together the worldwide leader in fishing tackle storage systems and the North American leader in live bait storage, landing nets and portable ice fishing shelters and related accessories.
"Both brands have a rich history of world class service and product development that rival any in the industry," Simpkins said. "The opportunity to bring two extraordinary teams together further strengthens our ability to serve the needs of our customers and the consumers, and I am excited to have the opportunity to lead the sales and marketing efforts.
"Kelly will play an integral role in Plano's plans going forward. She brings a wealth of knowledge in both sales and marketing that has lead Frabill to its position as a leader in the market," he added.
Marble, a 12-year industry expert, said, "I am thrilled with the opportunity not only to continue growing the Frabill brand but to join forces with Plano Molding Co. I look forward to working with Jesse and the Plano team, combining the strengths and experience of both companies to reach an ever higher standard of excellence."
