Vanguard joins the "Hope for Hunter" cause
(Whitmore Lake, Mich.) - Vanguard USA, global leader in sporting optics, shooting accessories, and photo-video accessories since 1986, has joined the fight to help Hunter Lageman. Hunter is a 1-year-old boy from Colby, Wis., who has been diagnosed with diaphragmatic eventrations and has been in and out of the hospital since birth. His family is now working to raise enough money to pay for Hunter's third surgery, which would take place at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
To help in their efforts, Vanguard has donated a binoculars package featuring a pair of its Spirit XF 10 x 42 binoculars and an optics cleaning kit. The package will be auctioned off at a benefit called "Hope for Hunter" on May 20, 2012. All funds raised will go toward Hunter's medical expenses.
"Getting the chance to help others in need is always rewarding, but when the family also happens to be big supporters of our brand, its like we are helping our own family," said Robert DeRosier, marketing executive for Vanguard Sporting Optics.
