Ted Nugent Endorses Mitt Romney for Republican Candidate
The ‘Motor-city Madman’, Ted Nugent, announced his official endorsement of Mitt Romney as Republican candidate for president via tweet earlier this month:
"After a long heart & soul conversation with Mitt Romney, I concluded this good man will properly represent we the people & I endorsed him."
However, Romney wasn’t his first choice. In a recent interview with the Texas Tribune Uncle Ted stated, "If the real Rick Perry had been at those debates, he would still be in the race. It is my firm belief that Rick Perry would have [made] and would make the best president we could choose."
"Whatever occurred at those early debates that caused the real Rick Perry to take a back seat to whoever that was literally caused my wife to cry," Nugent continued. "We thought, 'Has he been advised by idiots?' To this day, we still don't know what happened."
Nugent is endorsing Romney as GOP candidate for the upcoming presidential race.
Before fully endorsing Romney, who just barely beat out Republican candidate Rick Santorum in Michigan (Nugent and Romney’s home state) primary on February 28th, Ted insisted that he pledge there would be no new gun legislation or infringements on Second Amendment rights if elected.
In 2004, then Massachusetts governor, Romney signed off on an assault weapons ban, the first in U.S. history. During this same time, his administration increased fees on gun owners by 400%.
According to Ted, "He was in Massachusetts, he wasn't in America."
Nugent also told Romney about the “out of control” U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, adding, "These are not Ted Nugent demands," he said. "They're logic demands. They're 'we the people' demands. They're right over wrong, good over bad."
While it was unclear in the interview why Nugent declared the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service “out of control”, speculation is that it could have manifested from his 2010 conviction on misdemeanor charges for deer-baiting while filming for his television show “Spirit of the Wild” in California.
Nugent summed up his position on the GOP and the state of the country with:
"Basically, America is in a suicidal tailspin right now. Our government is out of control. The power abuse, the corruption, the insanity of spending money that will never exist... The conclusion based on all the evidence I can find is that Mitt Romney has the best shot at bringing the U.S. Constitution, common sense, and the American way back to the White House."
Re: Ted Nugent Endorses Mitt Romney for Republican Candidate
What an F-Ing retard he thinks Romney will protect the constitution what a dumb ass redneck
Re: Ted Nugent Endorses Mitt Romney for Republican Candidate
I don't like his music or the way he "hunts" and sure as hell not his choice on a pick for president. What an ass.
Re: Ted Nugent Endorses Mitt Romney for Republican Candidate
I agree. He is a dumbass. F him.
Re: Ted Nugent Endorses Mitt Romney for Republican Candidate
hes ten times wut dumbass obama will ever be
Re: Ted Nugent Endorses Mitt Romney for Republican Candidate
I have never seen such idiocy in the comments left regarding this article. Like him or not, Nugent is absolutely correct that we must support anyone who can defeat Obama, period. Obviously these previous comments have been written by people who don't have any idea where the democrats are taking us - and "Stranglehold" will have a whole new meaning!
Re: Ted Nugent Endorses Mitt Romney for Republican Candidate
Once a again we the people have to settle for a president.Well I guess Mitt is better than Obama we can only hope.
Re: Ted Nugent Endorses Mitt Romney for Republican Candidate
I like Ted and his music.Rommney as president, will be better than 4 more years of Obama.
Re: Ted Nugent Endorses Mitt Romney for Republican Candidate
But once again someone said 4 year of Mitt is better then 4 more years of Obama.Well all I can say is I hope Obama does not win the next election. But dont know if Mitt is going to fix anything this country can afford anorther lame duck president.
Re: Ted Nugent Endorses Mitt Romney for Republican Candidate
I'm still shock to see people don't get the fact, Rommny is the exact copy of Obama. It's another win win for the banksters and the corporatocracy it's just different facades. And to listen to teds endorsement, is just another mindless idiot, choosing the lesser of two evils, who share the same end results.
Re: Ted Nugent Endorses Mitt Romney for Republican Candidate
If the voters won't stop making their choice based on looks, eloquent speech, and 'political experience', then it will never change. How about voting based on values, decision-making ability and history of previous achievements?
Re: Ted Nugent Endorses Mitt Romney for Republican Candidate
any vote thats not obama is great
Re: Ted Nugent Endorses Mitt Romney for Republican Candidate
Ted is speaking for sportsmen, about our issues. You can't tell me getting the idiot that's in there now OUT is not a good idea, not only for the sportmen but for the entire country. We can't afford another 4 years of Obama's spending and if Romney doesn't make some legit headway in getting govt under control if he wins, we'll try another one until we find one that can do it. I just hope we don't go broke in the meantime.
Re: Ted Nugent Endorses Mitt Romney for Republican Candidate
Mitt is no different than Obama. His record proves he's no different. It stuns me that people think they must vote for this man. Vote for someone who actually values the constitution, Ron P.. He's the most constitutionally conservative candidate. He's the whole package, what we've all dreamed of as a president. Don't be fooled by these elite aholes who tell you they'll do one thing, then do another. Choose Ron P., its time for a political revolution!
Re: Ted Nugent Endorses Mitt Romney for Republican Candidate
Wake up, "Carrol". The FACT is that Ron Paul doesn't stand a chance in the world of being elected President. That FACT makes it very clear that a vote for anyone but Romney is a vote for Obama. Since Obama will continue to destroy America, our rights and what liberty we have left, anyone who doesn't vote for Romney is an unpatriotic, ignorant traitor to America and Americans. The children and grandchildren of today will live their lives as slaves to the state due to the ignorance of traitors i.e. Obama supporters. Ron Paul should admit the facts and throw his support behind Romney, if only to illustrate the truth to the dense people who will take votes away from Romney and give them to Ron Paul (a person who doesn't have the slightest chance of being elected). Romney is far from perfect, but he's nowhere near as bad for America as a second Obama term would be. Lok at the objective irrefutable facts. Obama ignores all laws, federal regulations, and the Constitution at will. Obama is a d
